WHAT IS A SIM CARD READER/ADAPTER?

A SIM Card reader / adapter is a porbable ("thumb size") device used to enable a computer to read data on a mobile phones "SIM" card. The SIM card is inserted into the reader and then via a USB connection, the data is adapted into a format understood by the computer. The SIM card reader's listed on this page must be used in conjunction with compatible forensic software in order to recover the SIM card data in a readable format.
