1.CTF - PATCtech Cell Phone Technology & Forensics
The PATCtech Cellular Technology & Forensics certification is a one of a kind certification training module for law enforcement and members of the public safety / criminal justice community that provides investigators a practical exercise and study of the following:
- Legally Seize Cell Phones
- Forensically recover cell phone data
- Analyze data extracted from cell phones for evidence
- Legally obtain call detail and tower records from wireless carriers
- Analyze and Map call detail and tower records for plotting historical suspect locations.
TRAINING: This training comprises content from two courses: Cell Phone Forensics and Cell Phone Technology. Training for certification may be taken in individual courses or the Combined 4 1/2 Certification Course.
CERTIFICATION TENURE AND RENEWAL: CTF Certification is valid for two years, and may be renewed in using any of the following methods
2. +SMART Smart Phone Forensics and Cellular Technology
The primary objective of +SMART Certification training is to provide practical instruction to attendees on the unique sets of evidence available on Smartphones and the advanced location-based evidence available on Smartphone’s and cellular networks. The PATCtech +SMART certification provides attendees a practical exercise and study for law enforcement and members of the public safety / criminal justice community on the following:
- Smartphone operating systems, including iPhone®, Blackberry®, Android® and more.
- Advanced data recovery and analysis of data on Smartphones
- Understanding advanced cellular communication technologies for plotting suspect locations
- Practical understanding of IPv6, The Cloud, 4G and Mobile Hotspot data on smart phones
- WiFi analysis from Smartphone data
- Trilateration
- Tower Discovery
